2010 Detroit FanFare Zombie Walk - "Pre-Show" 8am to 10am October 30th
You know how you feel every Monday morning? Remember how you looked after that all night party? Remember that time you died and came back as the living dead?
Well with the 1st annual Detroit FanFare Zombie Walk, you can relive all those undead moments and more!
This event will launch our first day of festivities! Beginning Saturday, the morning of October 30th about 1 mile from the Hyatt Regency, and ending at our front doors by 10am to kick-off the show.
Registration is between 6am-8am on the morning of October 30th. All registered zombies will receive free admission to the convention. Prizes will be handed out for the best zombie, most original zombie, and best group of zombies.
You will definitely want to be a part of the first annual Detroit FanFare Zombie Walk!
Blood 4 Comics on Saturday, October 30th - Monetary Donations Accepted through the 31st
Feel your wallet "drained" after one of those big event weeks at your local comic book store? Feel like the publishers are asking an arm and a leg for your favorite monthly book?
Well at Detroit FanFare all we want for these fabulous comics is your blood! Working with the American Red Cross Detroit Chapter, this event is going to be one of the best for everyone. Comic book stores and publishers from all over, will donate their overstock of comics to the American Red Cross.
On Saturday the 30th, there will be a room where fans and collectors can go to donate blood and receive a hefty pile of free comics. Or if you are unable to give blood or just hate needles, you can still get these comic books for a small monetary donation to the Red Cross. Either way the Red Cross gets valuable donations of blood or money to help them with emergencies right here in our area. And you get comics for your contribution! So lend the Red Cross your support on October 30th to give blood or donate, or the 31st and make a monetary contribution during Detroit Fanfare's "Blood 4 comics".

Shots 4 Sketches - "After the Show" on October 30th, at 6pm
Ever wanted to see how your favorite Detroit FanFare artist draws your favorite character? Or, wondered what that same artist’s favorite drink is? Have you ever wanted to see how your favorite artist at Detroit FanFare draws your favorite character after several of their favorite drinks?
Well then, Detroit FanFare's Shots 4 Sketches is the place you'll want to be!
From the second the show ends at 6pm on Saturday, until all the artists have said "when", you'll be able to buy them their favorite drinks, in exchange for exclusive Detroit FanFare sketch cards! Have a blast with your favorite Detroit FanFare artist, having them draw each of your favorite characters in exchange for drinks!
Want the best sketch? Start buying early! Want the wildest? Be ready at last call!
A portion of the proceeds will be going to a creditable charity. As all artists may NOT take part in this event, please check back for a list of confirmed participating artists.
Wolfman Mac's Devil's Night Bash - "After the Show" on October 30th, 10pm-2am
An after-hours party event hosted by nationally syndicated horror host Wolfman Mac and his Chiller Drive-In Crew.
Detroit's own Wolfman Mac will be the Master of Ceremonies for this evening of fun! Recorded at Erebus Haunted Attraction in Pontiac, MI, Chiller Drive-In is perfect popcorn eatin' TV! Movies like "Nosferatu", "Teenage Zombies", "Night of the Living Dead", and more, are enhanced with retro TV commercials, drive-in nostalgia, music videos and crazy skits starring a frightful cast of creepy characters! Stay up late Saturday nights and tune in to Wolfman Mac's Chiller Drive-In!
The bash will include a Costume Contest with Cash Prizes. So stay up late with Mac at Detroit FanFare on Devil’s Night, Saturday, October 30th 2010 and have a blast!
